Is the H pattern too hard? or is this a conversion for autos? seriously...lots o dough...

 

Sequential Transmissions(a.k.a. dogboxes) would be a much better mod if you're looking to waste money because you can't shift.

Seq. Trans > Seq. Shifter

 

actually that's not true.
last i checked, koguchi had an ikeya seq. shifter in his 180 (the green one).
it's all preference.
i hate the way it mounts and looks.

 

with the ikeya shifter, you still need to use the clutch to shift. Its not a *true& seq. shifter. Save your money for engine or suspension upgrades. If your bent on a real seq. shifter, HKS sells a 6-speed seq. 'dog' transmission for something around 10,000 bucks. Damn. That a lot of money...lol.

Even with a seq. shifter, you still have a non-seq. trans.

Once again:

Dog-box with stock "H" pattern is > greater than Stock trans. with seq. shifter!

 

either was i was just wondering. I am going to build up the tranny at the same time as my project motor.
so its no biggy.
If it wasn't too expensive I was thinking about it but really I can do a lot of better things with 1500 bucks.

Nismo Has a 6 speed seq. tranny on Japanparts.com for i think like 6 g's check it out

 

and if u eliminate ur H-pattern shift with that psudo seq, i'd be concerned about my transmission syncrons. Think about it, it shifts fast no matter if ur tranny likes it or not.

 

I've been trying to get someone to understand that.
