u need to grease everything up as well, the bearing and shaft out the tranny, i did a clutch once and half assed it with out the grease. it grinded and evething thing else. TOB and grease thats what i say

Did you hang the transmission input shaft on the clutch????
Often doing this will slightly bend the clutch, so it will chatter really bad when slip launching.
A shop did this to my Z28....TWICE! Both clutches ended up breaking (blowing the springs) after a month or so because they chattered/vibrated too bad when launching. It also cost me the transmission. I didnt figure out what they did wrong till a while later when I learned more about cars and did it myself.

Minor chatter can also be caused by hot spots in the flywheel/pressure plate...so did you have your flywheel turned?

I've never done it before but I think so. Seems like u just pull it off the input shaft and replace. lol
Not exactly...you take it off the input shaft, but the bearing is pressed on, so it has to be removed and the new one pressed on.

what do you mean hang it? just put it in like a half inch and let it hang there basically by the force of the pressure plate? that would suck.

on another note, my XTD is a piece. my engine blew so i had to pull it anyway, and the pressure plate is all uneven, and yes i installed it correctly. Im tossing that thing and getting something reliable.
