Ended up racing a 450whp Supercharged Convertable Mustang tonight. Not sure if it was a Cobra but there similar anyways. We ran twice. 1st race we went from 45mph and he got a large jump by about 1 car length and i started closing in untill running out of road. 2nd race we went from 45mph again, this time going dead even and i pulled a car length in 2nd, 1-2 car lengths in 3rd, and 2 more in 4th. Not to shabby for a 4 banger i guess. Ill have a dyno of my car tomorrow.

ET is only as good as traction which i never had any to begin with untill now since i run Drag Radials all the time. Also my drag time was from last year with almost 50-75whp less. Full setup is in my Build Thread in my sig. But a quick rundown is

GT2871R .86 Turbo
Greddy Intake Manifold
Megan Exhaust Manifold
Brian Crower 264 Cams
Enthalpy Tune

if he did have a KB blower in that car and you smoked him, I am not saying your car is slow in anyways, because 350hp for a 240 is alot really, considering the fact that it is so light, but check this video out, and see why I am wondering about the race, because either the stang had a bad tuned motor, or the driver just suck big giant horse balls. just watch it

Thats an 03 Dohc Cobra with a big 2.6 or 2.8 KB and about 20 psi I'm sure it puts out well above 650. I seen a 03 cobra with a completely stock long block make of 999 with a turbo upgrade instead of an SC.

Thats on a 99-04 gt with the 4.6 sohc engine. On a fully built one with the biggest KB SC for that cara nd about 24 psi it's around 850. If you want more you need a dohc and or a turbo, depending on the motor (bored stroked full head work etc) and the amount of boost they are cable of 2000+

Right now I have a 2000 gt with a sohc 4.6l. It has a forged shortblock, stock heads intake, and valve springs with a mild 531 lift cams. I'm at 12 psi at 6200 rpm that's where i make peak boost and shift. I put down 515/453 on 93 octane. My best 1/4 so far with a stock suspension is a 11.26 @ 129.38 Best trap is 130.18

Mustang was a GT Convertable with Kenne Bell Blower. Not sure on boost or the size. Nothing outrageous though. Best time ive seen from the guy is 12.4 @ 114mph. I trap 117mph with 355whp. Explains me winning. Might not have been 450whp but thats what the guys friends claim. I didnt find his track times till recent. Using a weight and trap speed calculator, 3700lbs (driver & car) and 114mph is 430whp. Think what you want, i won so whatever. And this was about a year ago. lol.
