Just a quick note. The motor is a bone stock $400 long block and these results are all with 93octane pump gas.

360hp@wheels with peak hp occuring at approximately 7200RPM. I will post dyno charts and pics by morning. The car pulls like an SOB and gets some good rubber slamming into 3rd gear. Race gas and 4-5psi more boost will yield 400hp@wheels from a $400 bonestock SR20DET long block.

Damn I'm fast. BTW, there is a problem yet to be resolved with the Mustang dyno so all results must be shifted over 700rpm higher than the graph depicts. I have been corrected that the pulls were to 7300rpm and not 7200rpm. So peak power actually occured a bit lower about 7K RPM.

240Z went with the best of both worlds. With the motor and car and the results have turned out NICE! Keep up the good work and keep us posted on this beast! Later.

Probably more results later this evening. The initial goal was 400hp@wheels with stock long block so filling her with the 114 leaded and upping the boost until the 400hp@wheels mark is reached and then over to whip some ******* tail at the local street races. huh-huh that there won of dem fancy turbo things.

I know rotaries are good engines if you know what you are doing and the fact is very few people in the US know how to tune a rotary to max potential. A SR on the other hand is easier to tune and there is a lot more info floating is why I would do the swap. I have worked on rotaries and what a pain the one I was working on I just gave up on.

On the RX-7's I know the cooling is a biggie also the vacum lines, and the seals can go out easily if not well maintained. Stubby
