i just bought a 89 240sx with a ca18det, and after WOT sessions i get this really strong gas smell inside the cabine, i have to roll down my windows or i think ill suffocate. im guessing maybe one of the injector o-rings?

well it really depends. if you have a setup pushing out mad fuel you will smell it. like say walboro pump, bigger injectors ect ect. my car gets alittle stinky from time to time. if your just driving along you wont smell it but if you give your car a little beaten it might smell. there may be a way to lessen the smell like making sure your vents are closed. but dont just take my word for it, make sure you check your fuel lines and what not.

be sure to check the O-ring that surrounds the fuel pump assembly in the trunk. Its about a 3" ring, and if its old and leaky, if the fuel sloshes around inside the tank it will leak out the O-ring and make the cabin reek. That happened to my car and I replaced it and no smells ever since.
