A few of us were talking about meets and drivers in DFW. There have been texas driver threads but they all have died out. So hopefully (mod allowed) this will be our place to discuss meets, cars, whatever.

Introduce yourself. & welcome :)

Name: Eric. but you can just call me wig, everyone else does
Car: 89 coupe, sr20 swap
Area: denton

just posted a thread on zilvia. can't remember my nico club username so I'll do that later.
It'll take some time to get word going that theres a new discussion thread. Theres plenty of people on here, zilvia, nico, to have an organized meet of just 240s/nissans.

i'm not putting anyone up to recruiting, mainly cause I'm not taking this too seriously. Obviously welcome people in or PM them. But we arent starting a campaign or anything. If it works awesome, if not, meh. right back where we started

Unfortunately for me I'm in the middle of finals right now. So I couldnt make the run.

I started my car up for the first time, can hear it in my build thread (in sig). I haven't been able to drive it yet due to a couple minor things. When I go home thursday It'll be her first time out on the road :)

I go to/through dallas about once a month... Everytime I-35 south, to I-45... Once I get close to 45, its nothing but people stomping on the throttle, getting up to 60-70mph then slamming on their brakes back to a stop... Hit the left blinker, turn right...stopping at green lights... cutting across 3 lanes to make an exit because they waited until 100yrds before the exit to start merging. I Dont know how you deal with it... I have yet to be on I-35 northbound and it not be down to a crawl from the 45 interchange to denton.

Heard that. Anyone who knows how to drive will easily agree some of the stuff you see from ntx drivers is absolutely ridiculous. I live in Denton and spend a good amount of time on 35... People definitely keep you on your toes. I'm fortunate I don't have to deal with 9-5 traffic. Good luck to ya

I got used to driving a big ass bucket truck for the electric company I was working for. I'd start a 7am in Plano and be out any where from garland ft worth denton Roanoke. Hell you name it I've had that truck everywhere in DFW. It's a bitch. One day I was parked in a lot and some bitch backed up into me. She said she never saw it parked there. I was in the middle of no where in the lot with my service lights on. Of coarse no damage to the truck it's bigger than a short bus but her trunk lid ended up going through her back glass. People are just stupid. I had another guy pull into my lifted avalanche on 75 one day. He didn't see me either. This is the main reason I sold my bike.

This is the main reason I sold my bike.

I about killed a biker on the way back yesterday... Around the lake north of Dallas (Lewisville I think) I was in the right lane, biker was in the left lane... He swerved in front of me and slammed on his brakes, I locked my brakes up and jerked the wheel to the left (would rather spin out/end up in a ditch than certainly kill someone who didnt deserve it) There couldnt have been more than 6 inches between his back wheel and my bumper... I couldnt see the back half of his bike he was so close... I think he was breaking down, so he wasnt a total dbag, just a little retarded.

If you guys see a red suv (think it was a jeep cherokee, prolly late 90's) with a piano sticker mid back window, watch out... He was going slow in the fast lane and I came up on him with a semi riding my ass when he brake checked me, I had no problem stopping, but that semi was about riding in my back seat... Then he kept blocking me from getting in front of him when there was no cars keeping me from passing him... We had a bit of road rage and I think I made him shit himself cause he slowed WAY down after retaliated.

At least traffic was flowing fairly well through Dallas.... That was a first.

It's terrible. I hate it. Every time I try to crack a nut or something and my freezing cold hand smacks against something and its terrible!
My exhaust came in, as well as my new short shifter. I began disassembling everything connected to the head for the gasket replacement. Arp studs and rocker arm stoppers should be coming in today

What are u wanting to work on??
