It only took us about an hour and 45 minutes to get to wall last year. and shit frank. I dunno about you. But if I had the chance to go out and get some seat time I would. I could care less what people thought about me. I would just like to get the seat time.

if you read the rest of the post you would have seen what he said after that his clutch wouldnt make it. Pus his car was turned back into the truck, so he has none of his suspension pices on. oh and not to metion no tires. Frank dosen't seem like the type of person who gives a s**t about what people think of him. When you care about what peopkle think of you, you become not yourself anymore, which equeals slave.

I went on www.usdrift.com to see what time it started but now they dont list Wall, NJ as being a scheduled event and last time I checked it was on there so I am going to gice them a call to see what is going on b/c I dont want to drive all the way out there an not be an event going on.

Bad News The Wall Township track people have just informed me that US Drift event that was suppose to happen June 18th, 2006 has been cancelled. I guess US Drift backed out of it. Sorry to be the one to tell bad news but better we know then to drive all the way there to find out there is no event. if you dont belive me the number to the track is 732-681-6400 or email mike@usdrift.com

they are mtec yellows they looks nice huh :yummy but i cant find any running lights for the turn signals that will match up

hey gerry hows the car comin along?

Mtec? Never heard of them. LINK PLEASE!

Also, I was telling you what lights I run for my chuki signals, you can order them here:
http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/

They are the Philips Blue Vision W5W (194) bulbs. They include them for free w/ a purchase of headlight bulbs so I dunno if Ashley's or one of your other cars' needs an upgrade, cause they you can score them for free instead. I think they are $13 U.S. maybe. I paid for them because I was at my wit's end trying to find something that was truly 'white'. I find it ironic they are called 'Blue Vision' when they are not blue at all.

edit: RedS14 could use some new bulbs... I recommend OSRAM Silverstars (brighter than US version)

i was talking to my boy james who was driving the black 240 on sunday....i said......

"hey man..u put on a great show at that event man...well, you all did...

we all agreed that you were initiating and holding your drifts longer on the banks than everyone else...

everyone was asking me how much money you have cause that fancy roll back...lol

whats it like on those long sweeping corners?..how much harder/easier is it to drift?

see , my friends and i drift , but we only get to practice in lots , we really cant afford the $100 fees for events...where do you practice for those big long corners?...do you just the practice time at each event?"

*he replied*

"Ha ha, well I have financing to thank for the rollback. We do towing that pays for the truck. I'll be paying on that for a while. You don't need a lot of money for one, just good credit.

I prefer the high speed stuff to slow drifts. I think it is easier....but that might be from all the road racing experience I have with high speeds and getting loose with a race car? not really sure, I just know I'm comfortable with high speeds and being sideways.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm still pissed about spinning out in the second run. Tires were too warm and I had no traction at all. Every time I tried to floor it the car would slip too much. Oh well, just need to run wider tires next time.

You can use the stuff you learn in slow speed drift at high speed. It is basically the same thing but there are greater consequences when you fuck up at that speed versus slower 2nd gear drifts".

Tom I agree with you.
This isn't jgtc racing where you'll be cornering with a rock stiff 24pt caged chassis and feeling 3g's of force that's carried on one or two axles. I don't believe that any of our cars exceed the capacity of a cast wheel to the point where forged is a must. If you want to go for rotas or sport max go right ahead I don't see why it's a bad thing. Sure they'll have more of a tendency to bend before a quality rim will but chances of that happening while being mounted on a 45+ series tire and on a lightweight car is pretty slim imo and even if you do bend a rim it's cheap as shit to get a new one, usually cheper than what it costs to repair a quality wheel. You may see pics or horror stories on the net but ask yourself how many people in real life do you see bending cheapo rims commonly?

Here's some truth for ya, the 5zigen fn0r1's are a cast wheel and they are popular as hell but about the same quality as a rota wheel, i was gonna get them because they cost about the same(though less durable) as the enkei's that I bought. The guy we met up with during that big sunday night who had that smoking hot black wrx and bronze fn0r1's told us he's bent 2 of them.

Before the people that buy qaulity parts start flaming me, i'm with ya on the saying that you get what you pay for and so with that said I rarely buy cheap car parts but my opinion is if you have the money to go for a quality wheel than do it but if you don't than I don't see the problem in buying from a reputable cheap wheel company like rota. They aren't worse than the wheels that come stock on a car. Tom you watch a lot of races on tv and you know there are drivers in the scca runoff's and speedworld cup that run cheapo wheels with no problems.

There are definitely different casting techniques. I think the worst are the pressure-mold wheels. Only bad stuff I heard about Rota's were the Slipstreams, and when you look at them, I could see why, those spokes look cardboard-thin. I think if someone (like most of us) can't afford the top-dollar wheels like Ray's, BBS, Work, etc that buying used wheels from reputable brands is a good way to save some dough and not skimp on quality.
Like I got my SSR's for $500, they're discontinued, which sucks but they have a user- history at least.

Another wheel company nobody really know about that I tried promoting on NICO (cause I personally spoke w/ a salesperson) is Team Dyanamics. They are U.K.-based and have well-made wheels they use in motorsport events as well. But they aren't an arm and a leg. If I had any patience I would've bought them, but it would've taken 5 months since they would have to be made in the U.K. cause they don't stock 240 offsets in the U.S. (big surprise).

I still think its funny no one know SportMax wheels are made by Primax. But since they're heavy I doubt we'll be hearing about them shattering/stress-fracturing.

i.e. enkei uses an anti-flex casting process
