Alright, so I bought me an S14.
She aint in the best of shape (wrecked, wasn't running)
Tonight got it running.
Still gotta get the body repairs done.
But after that comes the goodies :dancingco

My plans for right now.

- Coilovers (prob. just a used set of tein's or MR)
- Energy suspension bushing set (complete set)
- Welded Diff.
- Replace the seals on the engine (bought the front seals tonight)
- Possibly new clutch
- Of course replace the body parts that are damaged
- I/E
- used set of rims (rbmotoring.com)
- who knows, most likely alot of misc. parts along the way.

But....down the line a bit....
- Possibly buy a low miles (or possibly a tophat) KA and turbo it, or go RB25DET
- Nice coilovers
- Roll cage
- racing seats, gauges, blah blah blah..

enough of my babbling, here's a couple cell phone pics, pretty crummy, i'll get alot more this weekend.

Ok, so today I tried to set base timing on the KA
started it up, warmed up, cut it off then pulled the TPS and started her back up.
None of the marks on the crank matched up to the needle, so we set it to the last mark on the very far right side of the marks (20 degrees) and the thing wouldn't hold an idle.
Noticed there wasn't a knock sensor on the block, got the hook up for that though.
Any input as to why it won't idle correctly?

UPDATE:
Starter went out today
Today was just one of those days where you feel like giving up on it
Ran the self diagnostic check on the ECU, shot out a 34(knock sensor) and an 82(crank position sensor) so more things to replace =/
anybody want to give me some advice on what my next step should be?
O yah, also got the drivers side fender off and saw how bad the supports were, yet more work.
there's my little rant.

Ok: New Updates
pulled off the other fender today.
the other side is def. bent, yay bodywork
pulled off the starter cause it wouldn't work, could hear the relays kick but the starter just wouldn't budge.
Inspected the teeth on the flywheel, they seem fine, saw that the starter was grindin on it (as i had suspected from the noise it made on startup)
pulled off the brakes and rotors on the front.
One rotor looks like hell, has the normal appearance on the front, but on the back there is like half regular/half really worn down, i'll post a picture when tmobile's website stops being gay.
The other rotor is fine.
Taking those into the shop tomorrow to see if they are worth saving.
Won't be working on the car much in the next week and a half, going to New York, but will be back with some new parts so expect some progress.

Side note, i'm contemplating on the swap that I'm gonna do here in the next few months hopefully..i'm thinkin CA18DET, or possibly picking up another KA and going KA-T, i believe i feel a poll coming on.

k, so today I went and picked up a new starter.
Brought it home, tried to fit it. Come to find out it don't fit.:dancingwt
The solenoid is beefier than on the stock one, and the mounts are different.
Takin it back tomorrow, gonna see if they have any others.
Man this is pissin me off.:crazyrant

k so yayzors!
i got the starter to fit. :thumbsup
but i think i have the positive and negative terminals on the solenoid mixed up cause when i went to start it i got nothin, and i felt the solenoid and it was hot so i'm gonna check those tonight when i get back from work.

Also picked up some new rotors. :heyhey
old ones were shot, i'll post comparison pics. tonight.
that's it for now.

k so fixed the starter problem today.
It works.
Started the car for the first time in about 2 weeks.
Felt good to hear it run haha.
Still trying to fix the bog issue.
I think i'm gonna go buy some seafoam and see if I have a vacuum leak.

you guys just gotta remember, i'm only 16 and still in high school so my cash flow isn't all that great.
i'm hopefully getting a better paying job in the next week or two so i'll have more cash to do stuff.
In the end I really wanna go rb but money money money is and issue with that swap.
I don't wanna go SR cause of the torque compared to a KA-t
but for now, i'm just trying to get it running right.

as of today, i've decided what i wanna do.
No more money is going to be spent on the car till it has a fresh KA with low compression pistons cause i'm gonna turbo it.
More than likely there won't be much progress in the next couple of weeks, other than body work possibly.
