UPDATE:
I finally found another electrical gremlin. My CTS ground was basically fucked.. i checked it out since there is a ton of shit on it, and when i pulled it off the end bit just seperated from the wire. i looked closer, ended up it has only been connected by one strand of copper for quite some time.

Fixed that problem in like.. 45 seconds.. and instantly noticed better idle.

cant tell if i lost power, dont ask me why, but if i start knocking i know i need to do my timing.
AND of course my trunk. All bondo'ed and painted up

lol, i would love to have some gloss on my car, along with some coilover to fix my stance.. i dont think i've ever driven a car that cornered so funny. I want to black the rest of it, and paint the 240SX and NISSAN on the back like bronze/gold color

man im not even sure if the back of my car says 240sx or if someone filled it before i got it. I have no clue how mine handles either i know they guy before me lowered is i have no clue what he used im gonna have to get a camera and start my build thread soon. I have to work with the DE and im not too mechanically inclined at the moment but learning as i go which is a pain in the ass.

Nice find with the ground wire Mike...

Why can't more people look for problems and solutions like you do?

I don't think that's the ground for the coolant temp sensor...I believe that connection feeds into the stock temperature gauge in the cluster. Glad your problems were fixed though.
