I don't think it's nearly that much, aluminum head, cast iron block.
A old small block Chevy, all cast iron, weighs 560.
I have a block outside, but no good way to weigh it.

I had a motor shipped to me but it was a ka24de and in the receipt it stated the motor weighing 450 and that was minus the tranny but with all accessories. Not to sure about the ka24e. Iguess you also have to put in account the weight of the pallet but that cant weigh more then 30-35 pounds..

 

I found a pic on google of a ka24e motor on a scale weighing in at 371 lbs. Anyone know the cheapest way to ship this bad boy?

 

buy it on ebay, with shipping included. Ship to a business address, by frieght, and it could be cheaper.

 

Shipping could range anythere from 150 to about 5-6.
