blow it up buy a new one. :thumbsup

i wouldnt go over 12psi with a stock headgasket.i know people with a stock SMIC and gaskets pushing 14 though. but thats just me. im prone to blowing things up easliy. just my luck huh? but yea deff. nothing over 14. you'll max your shit out or blow your turbo.

10psi is safe for running on the sidemount. Anything over causes heatsoak. I ran 12psi on sidemount for a few months and you could feel the difference after driving a while. Heavy Throttle claims the T25 is good for 13-15psi but i dont take mine over 14psi with the FMIC. Only run that when im out cruising around. If you dont care about the T25 you can run over 15 untill it blows up. I hit 21psi once when my wastegate vaccum line came off. Pulled pretty insane for a second then i let off. Ive been running 14psi now for over 3 months without any ill effects from it. 10psi is what i daily drive on though. The T25 is better for low end power than people think. I spool quicker and take the lead on my friends T28 SR20s with the same mods. It just looses boost after 6000rpm which sucks. I say keep the T25 healthy untill you can afford something better. Dont abuse it.

What if i was running a T28? Would the max psi be the same for the side mount and front mount? I'm planning on upgrading in the near future just want to know my limits for the side mount. I'm thinking 12 for the side mount to just feel safe about the dyno and 15 on front mount? I'm not sure what the t28 can handle....

what manual boost controller is best for sr20?

Hook up your Boost Solenoid if you have it... It should spike to 11psi then drop to 9psi... (usually come with a motorset/clip... its on the little bracket which holds the Ignitor + AIV control) has a plug on it and 2 little nipples for Vaccum Lines

Most people dont realize a CA/SR or even RB "I think" ECU controls boost pressure "or can control boost" so if you have say a Blitz Access ECU which has been re-tuned for say 12psi... it will not hit 12psi unless you have the Boost Solenoid hook up to get the signal from the ECU

it dosn't matter how much boost. It's how much power your motor is pushing. Around 300whp, i'd be upgrading the head gasket to be safe. Anything under that, stock head gasket will be fine.

most people say 10-12psi for the SMIC because A. the BOV will start to leak and B. heat soak. When i had an SMIC, i ran 14psi for a while, but of course this was durring the winter.
