I just bought a 91' S13, 5 Speed - this car is in perfect condition in and out. It is black outside/charcoal indside, Power windows/locks, Cruise control, Sun Roof, Cold AC. It has only had one owner, has been garage kept, has obviously been babied and has 81,000 original miles on it. I originally bought this car to drive until a friend told me it had more value to someone wanting to build it. I know nothing about these cars and what makes them more or less valuable. What else do I need to know to determine whether I should sell it or not and If I do, how much to ask for it?

people are going to be all over this car just for the fact of low mileage... i bought mine with 164,xxx miles with major suspension, interior, paint, brakes, wheels and tire upgrades for 5500. i say that you can get about the same for a stock s13 with low mileage like that. if it runs flawlessly

Try looking in your local auto trader and see what they are going for in those. Generally certain areas sell in a particular price range. If it's in as good condition as you say it should go for a decent amount.

pics would help but how much did YOU pay for it? you obviously want to make a profit or break even if you paid too much. i honestly don't think you'd get over 4000 for it. the only thing that is good about it is low mileage which doesn't really matter if someone wants to do a swap. i'd say you would get around 3000-4000 depending on how bad a buyer wants it.

mileage affects A LOT more than just the motor..
lots of use on a car, even if its easy use, will take its toll on the entire car.

Thanks for the responses. To answer some questions...It is a fastback, It does run extremely well and I paid 2500 for it. So yeah if I can sell it and make a profit, I will. I guess my concern was asking too low cause I just don't know enough about these cars and what makes them different from one another as far as particular model, engine, etc. Seems like there is alot of versions of the same car. I did a Carfax report and it came back as all good and showed it as 240 SX SE/LE, Japan made 2.4L. for whatever that's worth.

( you know youve heard that a dozen times, i knwo a guy at work that swears thats how he had a hemi road runner inhigh school....5 years ago...for $1200, with 24K original miles...:bs)

I do know a guy who got a Grand National after the owner died of a heart-attack and the wife sold it to him for $5,500. I think she just blue booked it. (cars go for 10-15k). Aron should up at my work to rub it in my face.
