what aftermarket parts would first go into your car?

1. Replace all the fluids. (Oil, Brake,Tranny, Diff, Coolent)
2. Tires - if needed, best performance upgrade you can make.
3. Radar detector.
4. Tint - Keeps the interior nice, looks good.
5. Intake.
6. Strut Tower Braces - Cheap and easy to install yourself.

The list goes on and on, but that’s a good start. Make sure you spend the money on the general maintenance before you spend it on aftermarket stuff.

thats the best after market advise. make sure the car is a sound car and running right

after that. id say:
coilovers, rucas, tie rod/ends, strut braces, and various other suspension parts to get power to the ground.
i like spl parts personally.

Figure out what you want to do with the car first. Darg, drift, street, etc, then do what is needed most. I would recomend suspension and brakes since they are most likely worn out. You can do decent drifting and drag even with a stock KA. Assuming its a dual overhead cam. It all comes down to what your goals for the car are. Hope that helps.

Here's what i did on my car in order i did them. It was fully stock when i got it.
Full tune up, changed worn steering parts, NGK plugs, Magnacore Wires, INJEN Cold Air Intake, D2 Suspension, re-fabricated the interior, Optima Red/Orange Top battery, Apexi cat back exhaust, valve cover gasket, ... thats it so far. Looking into new timing assembly and new head gasket.

Once youve established its in good running order(tune up/check timing/fluids/check grounds/etc) I usually do cheap/free mods. and clean up the engine bay. Gut the air box, eliminate vaccuum lines/charcoal canister(if you dont have emissions), I personally eliminate power steering and A/C as well(no not for any so called power gains but I dont use them).

tune-up. replace suspension bushings with polyuerathane or aluminum, or just go full aftermarket linkages with pillowball mounts. I'd rather have a 240 with stock HP but a crisp/predicatable suspension than a balls to the wall motor coupled with suspension that was already worn out 6yrs ago. handling > power anyday, unless you're going full drag, which is a very boring existence for a 240.
