I was recently talking to one of my friends dads and he was talking about how hes got an ole supercharged hemi sitting in the garage he wants to do something with, and he decided he wanted to put it in a 240sx. It made me think up this post: if money was not a problem what would you do with your 240?? And im not talking the basic swaps, i mean the all out shit, like putting a small block chevy, or something crazy like a m3 beemer engine in it. My personal fave right now is putting a VQ35DE from a 350Z and twincharging it. Maybe even straight alcohol or methane. Possibly some NOS as well. Hell maybe strap a rocket on it and go to the moon. Lemme hear your thoughts on what you would do. Hope to get some laughs out of it..:flamers

Well I've seen LS1s put in 240s and I almost went that way but I was already to far into what I had at the time. But if I could fit my blown 517 out of my camero into a 240 that could be fun. A viper v10 would be my next idea. Finally a Cummings turbo diesel and make it a streamline power puller just to say I did and I get really bored.

well id love my set up from my s2000 in my 240sx.. 500hp f20c in a 240 would be amazing but ill stick to my current project... a 1989 ford merkur 2.3 with a holeset turbo off a dodge cummins, porsche 911 turbo injectors making 350hp in a unbreakable engine.. and lets face it, who can say they have done it before. cant wait for it to be complete. i just picked up my first 1990 240sx for $500 owned by an old lady and 100% bone stock. 217,xxx miles and still running! haha i love it. and already have big plans off dropping my old ford motor i have laying in the garage. made 300hp before was pulled. will make 350-400hp after im done.

already done to the engine-knife edge intake plannom, custom intake manifold, 44lb injectors out of an old 911 porsche, holeset turbo from a dodge cummins, 4inch downpipe, ported head, freshly rebuilt head. had it in a 76 ford pinto before..ran it on 20psi all day and once ran 26psi of boost through it and a 100 shot of nitrous and didnt do anything to the engine, just shattered the driveshaft u joint trying to grab 2nd lol. i love the old ford 2.3 engines.

btw anyone ever do this swap before?

This thread is for dreamers....I'm thinkin a 20b swap or maybe custom and do 4 rotors, definatly TT that shit. Dip and strip the chassis. Seam weld, strut braces, dynomat or similar, inverted hatch(love s13), s14 kouki front end, coils, stretch the fenders to accommodate the serious 345 meats on 18x13 volk wheels in. the back 325 18x12 in the front. Carbon hood, nice gt wing.

But on the other side, do a custom 7.1 surround system, 2 12" subs where the back seat used to be 'glassed into the corners, amps in the center. Some how make a 20" lcd come out of the dash with bluray...maybe a ps3 or xbox.

Show and go baby!
Show, and GO!

id get a built professional drift car,
have the best home designer come in brake it down clean it up make the shell into a carbed, and the rest as decorations around the house.
like the truck would be a beer fridge
the wheels would be made into stools
the hood would be a picture frame. type of shit

Id mod the rear hatch so that it lifted reverse and brought up the fenders with it. Then build a 2012 gtr engine twin turbo charged and mod that into the rear of the car like a gt40 and make a manual transmission to fit. Then leave the body mostly stock and clean and let it be a sleeper.

Well I do have my old 429 CobraJet V8 and C6 tranny sitting in the shed from my old 71Mach1, that I could stuff into the 240. I ran a 12.08 in the 4,320 pound Mach1I would hate to see what it would do in the 2,600 pound 240sx other than rip it in half! Easy to hook up...no fuel injection, no smog, no computers..etc... Just fuel, and iginition.on the down side the 429 and tranny weigh 1,200 pounds alone. But I also have a few L24/L28 motors from my old 280Z/ZX days, that I could plop in there also..And as to the above mentiond 5.0 Coyote motor...YES! I have a 2011 ford truck with that motor and it is bad azz!
