yeah i got a little confused. now fuel cells im pretty sure they are legal but i might be wrong. they meet all crash requirements. cuz if they didnt racecars would blow up with a tap. and i dont think you should be building a custom fuel cell. and if all else fails, dont get busted so the cops dont pop ur trunk.

no i didnt know that they used the rollcage all the way there. and roll cages are good they tighten up the cars suspension. now doing to many bars is stupid. get a premade one from companies. i think Cusco makes one. custom ones are nice but some are just for show.

I know it has. I'm pissed off that I didn't know about the drifting scene and didn't foresee such a huge price increase. I was thinking the prices were going to go down and I'll snatch up a mint s14 zenki SE.

But dude, to expect them to go higher? Stock koukis avg. 8-11k out in cali. Stock zenkis avg. 4-8k. Sometimes more. Now think about the ones that are modified :eek::eek::eek: It's insane. You can buy an s13 FB or Coupe for roughly aroud $2k throw in an SR red top that fetches you a little over what you got your car for (if you do it all yourself) and then sell it for nearly $10k! WTF?????

I think we've reached the point already with 240SX's prices. Besides the movies seems to only have newer Japanese cars (I.E. Z33s, RX8s, G/V35s, EVOs, etc.). I'd figure these cars to be the big thing with ppl, especially since by the end of the year and beginning of next many Zs will be coming off leases. Easy and relatively cheap pickings right there for many folks.

Also, take into consideration how much GM is trying to get the drifting audience to look at it's new lineup of RWD cars. The Solstice and Sky roadsters will probably be huge hits with n00b drifters onces word gets out that they're contenders at drifting events.

You're right, it will probably start to plataeu, but I see prices continuing to go up for another year.

Just a little story about my experience: two summers ago I bought a second 240 at an auto auction. It was 5spd and ran perfect. It cost me $900. A month later my brother bought a 240 at the same auto auction for $1400. His was automatic and it was stuck in 3rd so it was a pig to drive. Both were S13s and in good shape body panel-wise, but his was dohc and mine was sohc.

A month after that I sold my 240, in the same shape I got it in minus the dented body panels, for $2500. And my brother traded his, in worse shape than he got it in (since I raped some of his parts), for a Turbo II with a haltec, bbs wheels, hks exhaust, and a bunch of other stuff that he parted out for $8k+.

It was like 240s became popular overnight. One day you can pick one up that runs for a few hundred and before you know it you're paying $1k for a shell.

minime are you a f***ing idiot? When on this thread did I say that my 240sx was a silvia? Wow you are by far the dumbest person I have ever seen on the forums. About me joining...Yep I joined today...what do YOU have against that? Yep my 240sx is almost stock right now...but we will see how you'll run your mouth by the end of the summer. In other words dont talk shit about my car if YOU dont have anything better :happyfing
Heh. Suprise suprise, someone else that just bought a 240 talking about how amazing it is going to be "by the end of summer". You know who else talks about how cool their car will be? Ricers.

And FYI, you have a long ways to go kid.

I have two friends that are still alive thanks to roll cages
There are two people on HondaTech that are alive because of a roll-bar, and a cage is way more effective than a roll-bar.

cage in a DD is a :nono imo. Think about the fact that in a minor fender bender you could split your freakin head open on one of the bars. Unless you plan on driving with a helmet on everyday don't do it. To much of a risk if you ask me.

If it were simply a track car then go for it.

Rolls bars aren't seen as a hazard so I don't see any problem with one in the car, especially on a covertible.

Something along the lines of this would be pretty good for a street/track car. I'd just make damn sure to pad the bars near the rear passengers heads.
